Privacy Policy:
All communications between Terryann and clients will be held in strict confidence unless the client provides written permission for Terryann to disclose information. Therapists are required by law to maintain the privacy and security of their clients protected health information (“PHI”), and to provide them with a Notice of Privacy Practices (“Notice”).
There are limitations to the confidentiality of psychotherapy records. Therapists are required to report instances of suspected child or elder abuse, including incidents of the electronic exchange or access of sexualized images or acts of a child, or when the therapist deems a client may be a danger to themselves or others.
Communication sent or received by text, email or video is not completely secure or confidential and the privacy of communication cannot be guaranteed. Terryann will not discuss clinical information with clients by text or email, and if clients wish to communicate by text or email they do so at their own risk.
